Happy turkey day!

Oh, to be grateful,  really grateful.  Grateful for what you have and the people in your lives.  Grateful for the person you are and the people who have  had a hand in making you that person.  I am grateful, not only for the things I have but for the people in my life.

I am grateful for my parents, and my brother.  They have set the base for my life and the building blocks of who I am.  They are the ones that taught me to care about myself as well as others.  They are the ones that taught me to fight for what I want and to not give up.  I think my brother made me the fighter.  The one that made me think about how I could change things around to get in my way.

I am grateful for my husband.  The man that made me love. The one that stands by my side through the thick and thin. I am grateful for the fact that he can make me laugh, but also that he can make me feel safe and cared for.  I am grateful for his ability to provide for our family.

I am grateful for my boys.

For O, who challenges me everyday.  The one that makes me stop and think what really matters.  The one that gives me a run for my money.
Then there is Little B.  My baby.  The one that has made me a mom of two.  The one that has taught me to multi-task.  The one that has taught me how to let things go and enjoy the time right now.  The one that has taught me to slow down and look around.

There is so much to be thankful for.  There is so much to stop and think about.  I am so fortunate to have these people in my life, I wish this for everyone.

Happy Turkey Day!

What November

Holly cow where has the time gone?  I can't even believe that Halloween is over and now November?  This is the time of year when things kick into high gear and time really flys.

So Halloween was fun this year.  O was a hit and loved everything that we did.   He was a pirate this year and I have to say I loved his costume!  Grandma made it for him and it turned out so so good.

He had a parade at school and then a little party.  It was just too cute.  The party was cute too, but I can't say much about it since he told me to go home.  I was ok with it since I did have his little brother with me and I am sure he did not want him around.

We were able to carve one pumpkin this year.  The other three either got eaten by the squirrels or just went bad.

Little B had fun trying to carve but as you can see he wanted nothing to do with getting his picture taken with the final result.

Halloween night was a little stressful at first.  It started off with Hubby having to change my flat tire on the car, and he is not a car person.  Thank goodness for  a passing neighbor who came to the rescue and helped him out.  Little B did not understand the costume thing so he had a fit and O just did not want his picture taken.

But Little B did learn about the candy and settled down and had a great night.

O had a wonderful night and got lots of candy.  The Halloween witch came that night and gave them each a wonderful gift for their candy, and thanks to my lovely neighbor, the candy is gone.  It went to a program that will send it to our troops.

What a great day!
